Have we been Syringered again???
They're probably checking the car right now. Hopefully we'll hear a update, soon.

I think we'll be left hanging high and dry.

Accord will replace Spider from now on.

It's pouring in the Bay Area right now, probably not a good time to check out a car. We might go tomorrow or something..

We'll try to run a carfax on it..

Do or do not, there is no try. Call and get the VIN so you don't have to waste your time if it has a bad carfax.

Yep, there's no sense in going out and wasting time if the car is screwed up.

Call or email and get the VIN, unless you enjoy wasting time.

Considering a brand new 05 LX could have been had for 17k + fees last year, AND the new ones have been updated. $14k for a year old one doesn't seem like a strech.

It's a good price, but not unusual IMO.

It's an accord, though. They don't depreciate like other cars. Sounds like someone just wants the cash quickly. You can get nice private party deals if you're lucky.

What you should do is bring it to a mechanic to have him/her inspect the car. They have a lot of experience and probably can easily spot trouble. Since they can't take it apart it will be a little harder to find the more internal damage if any.
Also when you drive it don't use the radio and make sure to also take it onthe highway. Also check to see if it is aligned correctly (pulls to left or right). Make sure all the electronics work also.

I don't know why you think the buddhist thing was so strange, she just recognized that your parents are Vietnamese and figured they might be buddhist too. Sounds like she's running a mini-dealership out of her garage, which is kind of weird. But as long as you get Carfax reports (you got the VINs, right?) I don't see anything wrong with buying from her.
