$10,000 for one fucking term? Is this school freaking Ivy League or what? O_O Jesus...
Uh, an Ivy League school is more like $20,000+ a semester.
No it isn't... There is no way it is. I can go to the Harvard website right now and it'll say costs per year are about $50,000. That means it is definitely below $20,000 a term. (The $50,000 includes a room and other things too)
1 term = 1 semester
2 semesters per year
50,000/2 = 25K
summer classes and winter terms if offered are never included because you don't have to take them to graduate with a typical 4yr degree
What... Who goes just for Fall and Spring? O_O So you're telling me you just go to school for one term, and then take a term off, then go back, then off, then back.
Typically Fall semesters run from Aug/Sept until around Christmas. Spring semesters run from Jan. until April/May, depending on the school. So you get summers off, and are in school for the remainder of the year.
That's not how my school works at least. We have 4 terms. Winter/Spring/Summer/Fall. Each are about 11 weeks, I think.

Then... those are quarters (get it? 4 quarters?), not semesters...

Exactly. A "real" school runs semester, not quarters.

Berkeley is the only UC on a quarter system. Can't really say they're not a good school although I hate the politics of the city and most of the student body.
That, and TridenTboy shows the real intelligence of thinking everything is run exactly the same as what he's seen in his own experience.

Yes, a lot of schools are on the quarter system, sorry.. Not all of us go to colleges where you shell out over $50K a year.
How am I supposed to know that Harvard and some other schools run on 2 semesters? I don't go to them.

I didn't think much of your mistake at first but now I find it amusing you're making it twice. First nothing is different than what you personally know. Oops.. now anything that is different than what you personally know is rare.
Hint: Oops

How is that an oops? You all are making a big deal out of this: I said it was less than $20K a term for Ivy League, and you all said it was $25k by saying that there are two semesters in a year. (Which makes no sense to me... Are you in classes for twice as long now? Just for the same material) I didn't know those schools worked on only two semesters and now we have huge posts insulting intelligence because I didn't know this school ran on 2 semesters a year.
