i'm really frustrated, hoping someone here can help me. i've googled this and am amazed to find mention of this problem anywhere. surely i'm not the only one?! anyway, the problem:
trying to run sandra 2005 sr3 to test the speed of some flash drives, and other things, but the damn program hangs on me. my rig is pretty basic, nothing is overclocked. i've used sandra many times in the past (tho not the 2005 version) with no problems. as stated above, i've googled this and checked on multiple forums and haven't found any mention of similar issues anywhere. here's my hw/sw setup:
win xp pro, all updates installed.
p4-c 2.6ghz
1gb corsair pc3200 (2x 512MB dimms)
pny 6800gt - latest drivers installed
creative audigy-2 zs gamer (latest drivers installed)
hauppauge pvr-500 (latest drivers installed)
2 optical drives - pioneer 105 and benq 1625
4 hard drives - 2 seagate sata 160gb and two maxtor pata, 1 120gb and 1 300gb
very little other software installed - had to do a clean xp install and haven't gotten around to putting much back on it yet. i do use virtualcd; i unistalled it to see if that would fix the sandra problem; it didn't i also have a zboard keyboard and a microsoft wireless mouse. anyway, this problem is driving me batty. any ideas on how to sandra working?
