Right now I'm running an Athlon 2500+ at 2.0 GHz (12*166) on an Abit NF7-S r 1.2. I'm running TwinMOS 512MB PC2700 RAM at 166 MHz at aggressive (can't remember exactly what) timings. I downloaded SiSandra just for sh!ts and giggles the other night, and it seems I can't even compete with a 2400+. I'm running at the same clock speed with twice the L2 cache. I should be owning this bitch. Anyone have any comments, possible BIOS tweaks that may be holding me back?

You're within range of it, and also try closing all programs while you're running Sandra (ex Trillian :))

It's a synthetic benchmark, don't sweat it. My 2600 never got to the "baseline" 2600 speed unless i OCed the hell out of it. If it runs to your liking, let it be IMHO :).

Remember that your XP2500 runs at 1.83 Ghz by default, the XP2400 runs at 2.0 Ghz. It's rare that you find a benchmark that reflects real world performance gains of that extra L2 cache in the Barton. Most of them, especially Sanda, are more dependant on clock speed.
