Hi:
Can anyone tell me if the SiS 630 integrated video is up to handling Divx at full screen on the TV out? I'm trying to put together a low cost pc for the living room and the only FlexATX mb with tv out I've found has the 630 which I've never used. I'm planning on using a Celeron 700 in it which should do ok as long as the video card can handle it too.
Thanks in advance,
Bobby

SiS 630 outputs TV through a "301" companion chip, as a completely independent secondary head. Hardware overlay support is there too (watch the drivers, some had it disabled), so everything you need is there.

Note that with an integrated-VGA mainboard, you want to run the SDRAM and CPU busses at their best speed. PC133 SDRAM and a 133 MHz bus CPU (e.g. a VIA C3), or at least a 100 MHz bus Celeron please.

I've actually heard that the tv-out from this chip is quite nice. Which motherboard did you get? And can you let us know how the tv-out looks once you get it running? Thanks.
