Just curious how many people here only have Sirius to listen to Howard...with his contract coming up, what will you do if he leaves?

it'd be a factor in my decision. since they axed virtually every other talk show i liked (killed off maxim radio) i'd probably unsub.

Personally, if he goes, I'm cancelling. Too much repetition on the music channels, it'd make more sense just to use my MP3 player.

I have Sirius and I have never listened to Stern. I want him to go because I would hate to see SiriusXM have to shell out a boatload of money to keep him around.

i loved Howard on terrestrial radio but satellite radio is too expensive for what you get imo, and it wasn't worth it for just HS.

i have XM, i don't care about HS

ever listen to Jason Ellis on Faction 52 on XM, 28 on Sirius?

I've been paying for Sirius radio for 2+ years...and use it twice a month or so. I really should cancel it one of these days.

he's pretty good sometimes but really lazy. sometimes you can tell he does zero prep for the show and he's winging it and has nothing. he dumps the prep on telly and telly does not always pick topics ellis knows shit about. ellis is really fucking dumb when it comes to certain topics so it makes terrible radio

I'll keep my Sirius, I could give a crap about Howard.

I tried listening to him a while back. It mainly just boiled down to talking about Howard's psychosis of the day, and some lame-ass prank calls that went on about 3 times as long as they should have. And of course at the time, they were killing about 45 minutes a day with a really poor Eric the Midget call which was just painful radio.

Oh, and cash4gold, so Robin can chime in with "I could really use that!"

is that the days they make a big list of people that are ____ and then vote who is the biggest ___________ ?

like the other day they spent an hour making a list of who the biggest pussy in the world was and then another hour tallying up the votes

but most days i like to listen and laugh a lot in my car driving home while i listen

The music is what makes it worth it. After having sirius for a bunch of years now, there is no way I'm going back to regular radio. The commercials suck, the music sucks, the djs suck. Sirius is well worth the money to me

What stations do you listen to? Pretty much all I listened to was Chill and some other station (starts with an F I think) that plays mostly 90's alternative.

Don't have Sirius, probably never will, but IMO, Howard Stern is a moron and an asshole. I didn't listen to him when he was on the freebands or on TV, I certainly wouldn't subscribe to Sirius to hear him. IMO, he's in the same sort of category as Rush Limbaugh...wouldn't listen to under any circumstances.

If you didn't listen to him then (and still don't now), why do you think he's a moron and an asshole?

[facepalm] obviously, I've seen his show or listened to the radio show at one time or another enough to form some type of opinion [/facepalm]

I've had Sirius since waaaay before Stern landed on there. I've listened to him some, but a lot of the stuff just isn't that funny. The only real reason that satellite radio exists is so that I can listen to the Cowboys no matter where I happen to be in the continental United States. I don't like what they've done to some of the music stations. I used to listen to Buzzsaw all the time, and after the merger they got rid of it and brought in XM's Boneyard. Me no likey.

Very loyal stern fan here (along with my wife). I've been with Sirius since well before Howard (think I signed up back in mid 2003), but would seriously consider letting my subscriptions lapse if Howard were to go.

I hope he goes. Then, without having to pay for him, perhaps the cost of sirius would go down slightly.
