Now this is what you see in most Chevrolet Colorado ads, nice enough looking trucks.

This is what they dont show you, the fleet version of the the truck

My original desription of seeing this truck a few weeks ago in this thread

And speaking of ass-ugly, today I saw a new Colorado pick-up. It wasnt the nice one you see in all the pictures, this was a purely base model fleet type truck, and the front end on that was the most hideous creation to ever roll out of GM even beating the Asstek. I searched Google and was unable to find a pic of one, obviously because this grotesque creation disgusts even the most kind-hearted automotive journalist, and they dont want to rub Chevrolets nose in the crap they created.

The whole grill area is the dark argent that you see on Chevy work trucks, it had the high up turn signals, and regular old rectangle halogen headlights, stuck oddly into the hole where the sleek aerodynamic headlights of the LS trim level go.

It looks like a cross between some kind of Frankenpick-up, and the Family Truckster from Vacation.

A face only a mother could love.

Wow, that is terrible.

I don't like the compound eye look of the Chevy trucks anyway, though.

a: its the CHEAPEST model of that truck right there.
b: its not that bad, it is the wheels that make it look bad.
c: i dont think a consumer would buy it, gm made that model specifically for fleets.

I understand steel wheels, it's a work truck after all. But why on earth would you get rid of the headlights but keep the rest of the front fascia THATS MOLDED AROUND THE HEADLIGHTS!? Gaaaaah, more GM antics. It's probably only available with automatic too, knowing these clowns.

Yeah, the bottom set of lights has gotta go. Other than that, it's not too bad.

Ack!!! WTF is up with GM and their design staff? Take a look at the new F-150 - that is a handsome truck (and yes, I know it is in a different size class) - and tell me that GM is even in the ballpark with this thing.

here

that is the colorado on GM's fleet vehicle page. the headlights on the truck shown by the OP are not what i would call "original" everything else is right. they must have wanted to be as cheap as possible. the wheels also are as cheap as possible, the coloring i dont like.
