His best friend is Ian Mckellen, who is as gay as you can get. Patrick is very straight, and his wife looks like a good catch :)

I probably confused the two but I could've sworn he did an SNL skit where he was gay and I just assumed he was IRL.

He also did a famous cameo on Frasier where he was gay. I think he did a few other roles too. Of course, he's an ACK-TOOOOOHHHRRRRR so he's good and being convincing.

How many straight actors do you know that play gay parts? The actors in Cruisinng and Brokeback Mountain were already under heavy suspicion...

Right, so it was more than SNL. Must be a hell of an actor to go that route. I wouldn't.

Nope but there are more options and I would think it'd be easier for them than for a straight guy kissing or giving a BJ to another guy. I don't think most straight men would be comfortable doing that.

I didn't know Ian McKellan was gay until I saw him in a British talk show with a gay host.

Oh, and a coworker told me he was gay on Friday... My world is turning gay.

Never heard of either until now. Anyway, I thought he was gay. Officially/publicly, he isn't. Maybe it's an act, who knows...
