Sinks inside bathroom stalls

This has always confused me. Why are there not sinks inside bathroom stalls? Doesn't this make sense?

After finishing one's business, isn't it more hygenic to wash hands before touching your pants etc? Why would anyone be ok with touching their pants etc with unclean hands?

If there were sinks inside stalls, you could do your business, wash your hands, pull up your pants etc, and then wash your hands again. No chance of getting anything on your pants and you can walk out knowing you're clean rather than worrying about what might be on your pants.

I think this is an idea worth exploring.

because that would be a nightmare for plumbing probably.

it's also a stupid idea. if you are worried about germs on your clothes you probably shouldn't leave your house.

glad i'm not a paranoid germaphobe.

I agree... but I can't help feel that people will use that privacy to turn the sink into a biddet and then you essentially wash your face with shit.

if you're shitting on your pants, you have other problems to worry about.

Agreed, for sure. But then again, I didn't say anything about shitting on your pants. My comment was about getting shit on your pants from your hands. You know how you wash your hands after you take a shit? There's a reason for that.

exactly. my instant response when reading the thread title. Obviously: a certain percentage of people would be pissing/shitting in those sinks.

LOL once again, agreed for sure.

Based on this thread, I'm guessing you don't wash your hands though after you shit. Yuk.

i do wash my hands after i shit, but i don't have shit on my hands or pants when i do so, because i don't shit on my hands or pants.

Then there needs to be a sink outside the stall so you can wash your hands after touching the stall door.

Then we should really put a sink outside the restrooms so you can wash your hands after touching the restroom door.

Then we really should put a sink down the hall so you can wash your hands after using those nasty restroom sinks.

There are usually sinks in the bathrooms, which suffice for an 'outside the stall' sink.

Many places are now opting for bathrooms with no doors on them - just short hallways with corners instead. Obviously this isn't a universal solution, but in some cases this removes that as a problem. But for places where that isn't an option a lot of places now have hand sanitizer all over the place.

For those that are actual germophobes, many places have hand sanitizers all over the place. I pass by one on my way from the bathroom back to my office.

So if you know 100% for sure that you don't have shit on your hands, why waste time washing your hands? If they're already clean, what good would cleaning them do?

speaking of bathroom habits...

why is it that most people who are practicing good human etiquette wash their hands after touching their dicks and going out to mingle with other humans - but after hours of touching random objects in a human's typical ecosystem they never bother to wash their hands when they first enter the bathroom, before touching their dicks?

duh, I think you answered your own question about why we wash our hands after touching our dicks.

I always wash my hands before going for a pee at work.
