I leave MP to my PS3, since most of my friends play on it. I enjoy not getting 10 invites a minute to play CoD when i'm on my PC.So....

PC=Single Player
PS3= MP

I cannot play a game unless it's against other people either in person or online. Just cannot do it.

Single.
If I wanted to socialize I would actually go out and socialize. Also trying to coordinate a bunch of people for an online game is always a hassle. I think thats why MMO's are so popular, you can hop on any time and immediately have thousands of playmates. No organizing or anything.

I get frustrated at MP because there's always a bunch of basement dwelling virgins who play 24/7 and are rude and nasty towards everyone else. It takes just one bad apple to turn me off to something, so I stick with SP usually.

I prefer to play games with my friends and family. I don't like online games with random people, it just isn't satisfying enough.

I voted single because when I do play games, that is generally what I play.

Single player almost exclusively. I guess that's because I dislike most people. :shrug: 😉

My sentiments exactly, LOL. Actually two reasons. Seriously, I play games on the computer
to get away from people and the pressures of the daily grind. Secondly, I play a lot of FPS and RTS games, but am sort of mediocre at both, so I get my butt kicked on line most of the time. I do play some FPS games on line, but hardly ever any RTS games.

Multi-player mostly. Single player gets boring after a while, and I either have to buy a new game, or play the same game over in a different way. Multi-player changes constantly based on your human opponents' skill and tactics.

RTS and FPS = multi-player almost exclusively

RPGs = mostly single player, with the occasionally MMORPG

Really depends on the genre. And my two favorites, RPG and RTS, are generally suited to either one respectively. Recently though I've been playing a ton of TF2

Single-player for its uniqueness.

Multiplayer isn't immersive, and usually follows a similar formula. I'm sorry, but it only takes 5 minutes to hear "OMFG", some annoying teenager's voice, or some overbearing control freak to ruin any illusion of immersion.

All games will have a certain popularity when their new. If developers want people to return to those games for year to come - add multi-player.

Daggerfall was a massive role playing game that was only single player. Who really talks about Daggerfall anymore?

Counter-Strike is designed around multiplayer. Who talks about Counter-strike, oh,,, tens of thousands of people.

However, doom and half-life are still talked about and played by who knows how many people and they were designed around a single player game.

Depends, I play single player games more when I first get them.
However if I have not gotten a new game in a while I will almost exclusively play multi-player games
