I've been playing multiplayer games exclusively since BF1942 came out in 9/02 (cannot believe it's been that long)! I decided it was time to address the MOUNTAIN of games I have unplayed and installed Bioshock and actually completed it . WOW! I followed it up with Psychonauts and completed it as well, WOOHOO! It's just a gratifying experience to complete a game after all these years.

Yeah. I have grown to actually hate multiplayer games. It used to be awesome playing with your friends, dialing up on a modem and actually playing another human being on Doom, and later Warcraft 2, or Command and Conquer. But once I started playing Counterstrike regularly, I just couldn't handle all the douchebags who play online. It was more that people are far less mature than I could comprehend - probably because they don't have to meet with you in person. That is something that made playing games online more of a chore than fun, so I stopped.

I can't handle much multiplayer gaming, apart from COD 4, ET: QW, FEAR and SOF2 back in the day. Other games such as CS:S, TF2, etc, etc are good for short bursts, but generally I feel like I am just wasting time when I play multiplayer.

I just get a lot more satisfaction from completing a single player game. Though even with SP, in the past I used to have problems finishing games. Especially on PC - on the 360 I find it a lot easier playing through a whole game.

I guess its just easier to relax in a single player game (even the action games) whereas with MP you constantly got to be moving around and on your toes. It's why I love Crysis - nice open environments with enemies spread out so I am not constantly having to kill stuff and can take time to appreciate the scenery :)

Interestingly, TF2 has brought me back to PC gaming.

Oh, and I can't get past the last boss monster in Psychonauts :(

i'm the opposite, i can't stand SP games. especially FPS games on SP are boring as hell and essentially the same game at the core. AI is usually predictable, storylines are usually linear no matter what they try, and i just don't enjoy it. add to that the fact you can often autosave gazillion times before you do anything makes these games not much challenging. i like the never the same twice, unpredictable world of MP gaming.
