Maybe you should watch the video.

Maybe you should look at actual data instead of a guy bringing up a couple of very specific examples.

Oh who am I kidding, remain ignorant. Reality don't care and I sure as fuck don't care either.

Maybe you should watch the video.

Maybe you should offer an argument in the form of words, that one can read?

I in general, have an aversion to political opinion presented in the form of youtube/video. There's something about it that smacks of dishonesty. It's fine for preaching to the converted, for firing-up the base or entertaining those already on side. But it's just rude to expect those you are attempting to actually argue with to watch a one-sided, one-way performance. It's demanding a level of complicity that loads the dice, and you aren't likely to get it.

If you are trying to argue with a likely unreceptive audience, you need to make the argument in words, so people can take-it-or-leave-it. Don't expect them to sit down and watch a bloody informercial. Nobody is going to bother.

Move to Canada (you'll have to leave most of your guns behind though :p). You'll find out first hand pretty quickly if that is what it takes for you to believe it (assuming published data is not convincing enough).

Not that there aren't problems with our system here, such as wait times, but it's much better than going bankrupt.

Healthcare shouldn't be a political argument - framing it as one instantly discredits your opinion on the matter.

What do you think?

I think there is only two real solutions, Single payer and socialized medicine. I think that single payer is the best compromise for us. For profit medicine is a complete failure because medicine by it's very nature has a nearly vertical demand. There is no meaningful way to give consumers any power to keep the medical market in check.
