I've always had an odd fascination with fancy sinks as well. I'm not sure what it is... but I have a feeling when I finally buy a place where I know I"ll stay put, I will have an epic bathroom.

Don't care so much about the kitchen sink.

I like single faucets. Simpler and faster. They don't look as nice, but I want my sink to be easy and fast to use.

I don't like the fancy pants ones. Makes it harder to do what I need to do and harder to clean up after I splash water every fucking place.

yup, and you know exactly where to turn it to for your liking as far as temp.
no need to play with 2 knobs.

My liking is full hot, so it's only 1 knob. Of course I keep my water heater set to reasonable temperature, and don't expect to cook ramen out of the tap.

I LOVE the handle in my showers. It's delta, single handle. But the single handle just turns on the water and there is a large and sturdy "knob" molded into it that you adjust hot/cold on. So no adjusting water temperature once you set it. Just turn it on and you get same temp everytime.

Single in both my kitchen and all bathroom sink faucets. Never had any trouble with them. Bathtub is still double handle with the diverter to select tub or shower. When the bathroom gets redone (way in the future) or if the existing needs replacement, I may opt for a single handle one. Current code also requires anti-scald types for showers / baths.
