single gtx 580 vs 2560x1600

Hey guys,

Will a single gtx 580 be able to run most games at playable fps at 2560x1600 resolution or will i have to sli? I plan on playing crysis,bf2 metro, sc2 etc.

If you are thinking about dual cards, consider HD6870 in CF. It should handily beat a single GTX580.
