Hello,

Does anybody know where to find single drive rounded cables - UATA ones? (I don't want one with two device ports in it, it clutters up the case).

Basically I have an A7V133, and I want to

hook 75GXP-20 primary boot drive to the PROMISE IDE channel 1
hook 75GXP-30 drive to the PROMISE IDE channel 2
hook DVD ROM on primary mainboard IDE channel 1
hook CDRW ROM on primary mainboard IDE channel 2

That's 4 cables, it would be neater I guess if I just used
single drive ide rounded cables instead of the 2 port variety.

Where do I find these cables? I see the dual port ones all over.

At that price, he could buy a reasonable double and neatly cut off the last connector.

And still have almost the $14 left to buy a cheap ribbon-cable crimper, with which he could crimp a connector onto the severed end if its long enough (and he can find a connector!) to have two cables! :)

You have to admit they do look damn good though....but I agree far too expesive. Just buy one with two connectors and cut one off...NOT THE BLUE ONE!!! I would recomend cutting with scissors as opposed to a knife, the knife would just kind of rip the cable and would most likely cause a short.

did this to my floppy and IDE cables, works totally fine. just snip it at the grey and be careful not to cut off the blue, any pair of scissors is good, very neat job.

So, you can just cut off the extra connector? No degradation of performance/data integrity or anything?

I have the pretty yellow cables I ordered from Plycon. What you are saying is that I can cut off the second connector, the one at the end. Im assuming that you cut it off just after the first connector and it will work fine? I sure hope so that would be very cool. :D My case is pretty neat and tidy but the second HDD connector that I don't need is just one more thing to clutter.
