i just started drinkin coffee. I never used to because I just didnt like the taste but i think since i started drinkin it that cup to start my day off gives me a little kick that helps be make it through my 8am class.

My question is this. Do they have any like mini coffee makers that are programmable to start brewing at a certain time? What im lookin for is just something that i can ready at night, and then at like 7am itll start brewing automatically so that one cup is all ready to go.

These could be pretty common i just have no idea, ive been out of the coffee game so im clueless........

also do they have usb ones? i think ive heard this before

If you really want a true single cup coffee maker and have money to spare, keurig makes a variety of machines that take coffee pods (premeasured amounts of coffee grounds) that you put in the machine and you have coffee ready in about 30 seconds. Its expensive and probably overkill, but just throwing that out there.

Most modern coffee machines have timers on them, since what you mention is a commonly desired feature

does that have a timer? or do they all?

Programmable - you set the clock to the appropriate time, then you set it for the time it should start brewing. You'll want to read more about specific ones on your own. Personally, I grind my beans in the morning, dump them into my press pot while heating water up on the stove for my coffee.

im extremely lazy i plan on putting this in my room and just grabbing it right when i wake up,get back in bed, drink it, and then get up and get on with the day.

phillips makes the senseo, which also uses pods. you can make singles, doubles and espressos. pretty decent coffee.

Just get a programmable 4 cup one and only fill up the reservoir enough for a tiny bit more than one cup and likewise, only use enough beans for one cup.

Such as this one: http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Coffe...&qid=1224821728&sr=8-1

Seconded! I use one of these myself and love it. I had a senseo pod machine and I like it but it's loud as hell. I got a Mr. Coffee 4 cup programmable unit from Walmart for like 15 bucks.

We've used three different types of single cup coffee makers at work -- the pods, the Keurig cups, and some sort of foil packs. Tbh, I still prefer the taste and strength of homemade drip-brewed coffee and steeped tea.

I like mine too, but only use it a couple months a year. Mainly because I can't find a place that sell the Pods here(Canada). Every XMas I go to my bros across the line and get a couple months worth.

I still prefer fresh ground Beans in a regular coffee maker though. The Senseo just makes for a nice treat.

i just checked out the senseo. is a 4oz serving a standard single serving size? that seems kinda small.

Target has a $20 programmable 4 cup Mr Coffee. For coffee machines 2 cups = 1 cup of coffee. I get 2 cups out of my 4 cup coffee maker.

depending on budget the Keurig at BJs is a great buy...it's $129 and has a better nozzle than the normal Keurig at $149 MSRP...I think it's a B66.

Comes with 72 K-Cups and the special reusable one that you can brew your own coffee.

We have the in line / automatic ones (they dump the cup for you) here scattered around the office.

Those that tried the Senseo did say it was good, but the keurig they have all switched too.

I don't drink alot of coffee but the one thing I hated was when the filter and old grounds ended up in the trash...

If you are just going to drink a cup at a time I would just brew the cup by hand with a filter and a pot of boiling water.
