I just saw this and Sinclair owns more than 170 local stations. This is so wrong.

The conspiracy theory suggests Dr. Anthony Fauci was responsible for the creation of the corona virus. The segment includes an on screen graphic for its entirety that says "DID DR. FAUCI CREATE COVID-19?" Unbelievable - both the show and the fact that it's being broadcast nationally.

Bolling was so surprised to hear that the nut job woman had a viral conspiracy video? He had no idea?

Once again the far right is left to decide, "Lying or incompetent" because those are you're only two options for booking a guest without knowing the most widely known thing about her.

And yes, why not both?

My local Trumpers are ALL IN on this one, they saw it a couple months ago. Bought every word hook, link, and sinker.

His voting base will all believe in this conspiracy. They want physical violence done to Dr. Fauci.
  • Americans fund health research across the globe.
  • China is a part of that research.
  • AMERICANS CREATED THE VIRUS TO HARM OUR DEAR LEADER.
Their brains are !@#$ing mush. Unfortunately they are not alone. It is a repeat of Pizza Gate. The broadcasters no doubt want the same ending. The broadcasting of this should be considered a terrorist threat / inciting violence.

How about sending in some federal agents and lock the places down for public safety

Read about this last night, it is disgusting.

I do wonder if there is some wiggle room for Fauci to file a suit?
I know it is hard for the news and I know Fauci is a public figure which makes it even harder. Just wondering what the standard of evidence would be.

The strange thing is logically if you actually believe this conspiracy theory, it should be pretty much impossible to vote for Donald Trump for re-election.

Basically this would mean the Trump administration is so unbelievably incompetent that this happened under his watch, yet he would have failed to figure this out by now and for instance actually arrest Dr. Fauci, or even actually remove from him from a position where he could theoretically cause problems. In other words you would feel obligated to vote for basically anyone else for President who at least could be somewhat more competent in how they run things and hire more competent people for their administration who can figure things out.

Of course it is an unbelievably dangerous conspiracy theory, since it both puts Faucii and family at risk, and will likely encourage members of the public to disregard safety measures against COVID-19. (Dr. Fauci really should sue them for libel under these circumstances.)

He apparently has security detail based on his recent interview with David axelrod

The argument for America as a failed state grows by the day.

As the eternal optimist, I would prefer “captured state” vs. “failed state”. But if this moronification of rural America continues, we’ll never be able to capture it back from the 1%.

FYI, just another reminder that right wingers are dishonest and argue in bad faith to spread their lies. Traditional journalism needs to learn to call out this bullshit.

But Bolling, a former Fox News host, told CNN Business in a series of text messages that he invited Mikovits onto his show to "question and challenge her beliefs." Bolling also said he does not control the on-screen graphics that appear during his show.
"I did challenge her," Bolling said, noting he called her claim "hefty."
When pressed over whether calling a claim "hefty" constituted effectively challenging the conspiracy theory Mikovits pushed, Bolling said that he did believe he challenged her.
Bolling then told CNN Business that he was not aware of the viral "Plandemic" video Mikovits was featured in earlier this year, and said Saphier "was not originally booked on the show" and that he added her to "provide an opposing viewpoint."
"I don't know of any video she was in prior to or after appearing on my show. Frankly, I was shocked when she made the accusation," Bolling said.

It's time to start holding people accountable for being accessories to murder. This should be criminal.

I think the issue is that question of a failed state. How can a liberal society protect itself is the only means it has at its desposal is to fight false speach with truthful speach and a majority of people in a few states will not listen to it. When you start to call false speach accessory to murder you also open the door to calling true speach the same thing and lock up the truth tellers. I think the only way a liberal society can survive is to have an educated population that is resistant to lies, one that isn't insane and filled with fear and economic uncertainty. Everything about capitalism just increases the competative me first mentality and fear of being on the bottom of the economic ladder. Only a progressive socialism that is non authorian can fix that, in my opinion.

So.... their argument is that Wuhan lab was smart enough to make a very deadly bio-weapon for just $700,000, but they were also so stupid as to let it escape where their families live, AND be unaware that it can be cured with oceanwater! Not only are the Wuhan scientists stupid, but so are all the sailors in the Port of Wuhan which didn't know that they were floating on a cure!

Meanwhile, Fauci...the American scientist who created the virus, but was also chosen by Donald "The King of Conspiracies" Trump to lead the response, spends his days trying to battle the virus. If his motivation was was guilt over the imagined escape of the virus he created, wouldn't he drop the masks, open the beaches and tell everyone about the curative powers of the ocean? ...

Lol, wtf!

Now...Trump is out acting like he understands the severity of the pandemic and he's trying to make the American public believe he is working to stop it. He even went on national TV and told everyone to wear masks. Meanwhile, his minions in the wingnut media, like FoxNews and Sinclair, are continuing to push the same lies they've been telling all along. His media mouthpieces are now contradicting him by airing to his base stuff like QAnon and this Plandemic dumb shit. The angle is to keep his base firmly in place in what to believe, while Trump and the Rebublicans go on TV and try to win over moderate voters.
