Since when has In-N-Out started charging extra for Animal Style.

Seems like an awful lot of an extra charge for animal style, I could see and extra 30 to 50 cents but $1.50 is a lot. The mustard is standard and some grilled onions don't cost anywhere near $1.50

And for those of us on the rest of the planet that isn't California and In-N-Out does not exist "animal style" is?

This.

Sounds to me like the OP isn't happy about paying $1.50 for a good time with Lassie.

"Animal Style Fries" = fries with cheese, spread (thousand island dressing clone), grilled onions and pickles (if you ask for them).

I am refering to fries. It is free on the burgers as far as I can tell.

They charged for animal style fries since the beginning of time

I think I would pass on that, no way I want anything other than malt vinegar on my fries or catsup if they are the thick style kind.

i only get the fries as a treat, but i always get my burgers that way. glad to hear they still dont charge for that.

I had Animal Style fries last time I was at In-N-Out, which was a few months ago. I didn't really like it, it just made the fries into a big gloopy mess. I don't like their fries much to begin with, but this made them even worse.
