Please go back to school. There were dinosaurs during the mesozoic period. Global warming has been occuring for the past 50,000,000 years, otherwise this planet would be 30 C cooler and would be unable to sustain most mammalian life.

There were cladistically valid mammals alive in the late Triassic 200mya. True therian (placental) mammals were alive in the middle Cretaceous around 100mya. You might have missed this in elementary school, but one of the key characters of all mammals is endothermy. We don't really have too much difficulty staying warm if we get enough to eat...

Not to mention that 30C is almost 90F, so you're implying average temps at the tropics 50mya would have been below freezing!
