We should let them know that the next time sadHAM hussein tries to invade their country that we will wait until their government is crushed before we go in and reclaim the oil fields!

It was reported earlier today that none of the arab countries will help with ground troops. Thanks Kuwait, thanks a lot for nothing! Thanks Saudi Arabia, for nothing!

We wouldn't want their ground troops. What's the point of sending out a bunch of unskilled people to quickly die with rifles when you have enough skilled American soldiers plus better planes and tanks than they do?

Of course not... they have to worry about protecting themselves first... they are small and a big bully came in to push them around, we had to use our power. It?s much better that they our helping us with intelligence and diplomacy anyways since we really don?t need man power.

Nice CNN map

You think our troops are skilled? And what makes you think they're unskilled?

And guess what, they (saudi arabia anyway) buy their military equipment from...you guessed it! The United States! Part of their arsenal includes 300 or so M1A2 abrams tanks...out most advanced.

It's my wife's cat's name.

It's not that we need their troops, its the way that they handle the situation. None of them are willing to do one thing in public to aid us. Everything has to be covert.... god forbid bin laden finds out that their country is helping us in any way...

You guys should be pissed too!

They are playing hurry up and wait.. when they see us finish the job in Afghanistan, they will see we, the coalition, mean business. Right now they dont want to get highly involved and see us back off and leave them holding the bag of terror. The US pretty much feels responsible for a part of the mess which they call Afghanistan, and we are primarily responsible to fix what we let happen there. But as far as the rest of the terrorist harboring nations go, it is encumbant upon them to fix their own problems or answer to the coalition when the next target must be picked.

Arabs want to have it both ways. They bribe bin Laden with money to leave them alone. Then after his terror antics get him in trouble they have to do the two step to keep everyone happy. The Saudis are as two faced as you can get when it comes to allowing us to be in their country. The truth is they hate what we stand for.

So does that mean the U.S. will be getting rid of the CIA? They've harbored and worked with terrorists for years. The most famous example was its role in nicuragua (sp?) Or do we not think about that because that was so 20 years ago and they don't have World Trade Centers down there so it's different.
Yeah, yeah, you've probobly heard that arguement, of course that doesn't make it any less valid. If we're going to fight the good fight now, we need to do so thoroughly.

I think we should learn a lesson from this whole thing. Stop giving weapons and training to any government or group in the Middle East. Most of them shouldn't be trusted with slingshots much less tanks and training. If one country invades another, we can help out. But I don't think any of the groups in the Middle East (even our Jewish "allies") should be trusted with weapons or training.

We can trust no middle eastern country period! They are never going to be our allies. The differences are too great. Unfortunately even they can't get along with eachother and have to cause all this chaos.

The other thing that pisses me off is that I get a feeling that a lot of people are forgetting what happened on sept 11th. Unfortunately as time goes on and we dont have bin laden, more and more people are going to get cold feet about our whole anti-terrorist war. Maybe the terror didn't hit close enough home for them to feel the impact, but when the next terror attact hits our homeland maybe then they will see why we are doing what we are doing.

I know people that died that day. I have friends that lost family that day. I felt the plane hit the pentagon at school. I could smell smoke days after the 11th. Don't you DARE call me a pansy!!! :| We do have allies in the Middle East... can you say ISRAEL? The last thing we want to do is isolate ourselves; we need to make relations in that area on the world. Although their military isn't as advanced as ours, they certainly have more then slingshots as many of you think. They have fighter jets, tanks, SAMs, nukes, bio and chemical weapons too. Don't underestimate them.

<<Egypt is cooperating with the war on terrorism, but Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak ruled out the use of Egyptian ground troops in any military strikes.

U.S. officials have described the cooperation between the United States and Oman as excellent. Oman has allowed the United States to base planes on its soil in the past, and Pentagon sources say B-1 bombers again have moved to bases in Oman.

The Saudis cut all ties with the Taliban and condemned the Sept. 11 attacks. The U.S. State Department said Washington is very satisfied with Saudi cooperation.>> - CNN

Americans are expressing joy and jubilation at having overpowered the ?terrorists?. But of course the ?few? civilian casualties will be inevitable. And obviously they will bomb 90% of Afghanistan but please be clear ?this is not a war against Afghanistan?. No indeed it is ?essential? for all the ?freedom ? loving? individuals all over the world to support them. I mean either you are with us or against us ? you have the ?freedom? to decide. Then look at the humanitarian effort - ?dropping food supplies along with nukes?. Maybe the surviving onlookers to the attacks can salvage the food along side corpses. But laudable the ?effort? is indeed because who else would supply corpses of the terrorists with ?food? while bombing them. Long Live America land of - the free WASPs, the free Jews, the free Muslims (?)??. The rest of the world- why does it need freedom when it has the USA to protect it!

It's funny, if russia or china was hit by the terrorist attact that the US was they would be doing much damage to afghanistan then we are doing. We said, look taliban, we know that bin laden is in your country and that you are helping him hide out. We know that he caused the terror attacks. Give him to us or be considered a terrorist government. We gave them time to think it over. They were defiant, now we blow them up. You think that russia or china or even iran or iraq would approach it this way. No! They would shoot first and ask questions later.

I'm not anti-arab, or anti-muslim.
I'm anti-terrorism.
I also realize that isreal is our friend.
I also realize taht the palistinians will never be satisfied no matter how much isreal offers in concessions to them. There will never be peace between them.
There will never be peace in the middle east.
There will never be peace in the world. There is too much testosterone and too much religion.
