Last week, Bloomberg reported that one podcast idea seriously mooted by Harry was to make an entire series about childhood trauma. Not just his own trauma, because he has obviously got enough mileage out of that elsewhere, but the trauma of a group best described as “world baddies”. As Bloomberg wrote, the concept of the show was as follows: “Harry would interview a procession of controversial guests, such as Vladimir Putin, Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump, about their early formative years and how those experiences resulted in the adults they are today.”

It reminds me of Alan Partridge's desperate ideas for TV shows.

Putin tears up talking about the death of his childhood puppy, Ali Khamenei breaks down when explaining nobody came to his 6th birthday party, Kim Jong Un gets emotional about being fat-shamed as a teenager...

I don't know, I think opening a dialog with, "What were the circumstances which made you such a loathsome person?" would go over very well with megalomaniac, homicidal dictators. :p

Having the question come from a person who was born into wealth and privilege would make it even better.

Yeah, let’s amplify the victimization of well-known psychopaths. We definitely haven’t experienced enough of that already.

Half of Michael Jackson’s career was built on his lack of a childhood and how it indemnified him from raping children. It’s profitable entertainment I guess.

On the plus-side, I suppose there's an outside chance in the face of Harry and Meghan's touchy-feely psychobabble they'll break down emotionally to an extent where they decide to take a break from their murdering and invading.

Though it brings to mind Dr Evil explaining that he had his therapy group liquidated because they were insolent.

'Hey, you're evil - why not come on my show and tell the people why you're so evil?'

I'm sure they would sign up for that right away.

honestly, I think these folks get shit on for essentially no reason 98% of the time--especially from royal-hating brits who suddenly loathe them for SHITTING ON THEIR ROYALS! (and also the race-mixing, of course--but man...

this does sound fucking terrible.

I think you'll find those who loathe them for "shitting on the royals" are the royal toadies and sycophants (hence the coverage in the Mail or the Telegraph). At the bare minimum it's those who are obsessively interested in the Royals and all their doings who engage in the majority of the hating.

As a royal-hater I hate these two about equally with the rest of them - no more, no less.

The most that could be said in their favour is that they are undermining the institution, albeit unintentionally...but set against that is the fact that they are hypocrites attempting to have it both ways, fighting to keep their ridiculous titles and trying to segue Harry's immense unearned privileges into lucrative membership of the US celebrity circuit, and expressing support for the institution itself, while not wanting to perform the negligible amount of duties it actually requires of them.

I do feel obliged to repeatedly make it clear I don't hate them any _more_ than I do the rest of their family.

I really don't understand the fascination of these two. Is this a british fetish? If I saw them in a restaurant I wouldn't even take my phone out for a picture.
I just hope their kids can avoid the tabloid shit show. Are the kids white/black enough?
Zero hate for this family.
I have seen Carlos Santana and Robin Williams in my local restaurants and no one bothered them.
Zero fucks are given to the royals where I live.
You brits are petty .

They exist because of you and you exist because of them. You are stuck to them by the magnet of hate. As an American the emotion I feel for you and your royals and for all those repelled or drawn by them is pity. You have no idea joy and freedom that comes from being a classless nobody. Hate is disgusting. It creates the ugliness of self importance.

You are the product of a society blind to the fact of how much it matters what class you occupy and how much hatred in the form of envy that creates. Of course it’s the transparency to nobodies like me of your condition so obvious repressed out of conscious awareness that has put me on your ignore list.

Like I said, such a pity. I pity the poor immigrant who enters Moonbeam land. Who wants to wake up and discover they’re in prison.

Hehe, I started my post before yours appeared and spent the last hour or so listening yo Dylan pity and the Dubliners Tramps and Hawkers and then onto the history of Gretna Green. Zero fucks about sums it up but a disgrace in my opinion has to be volitional. Wool takes the color of the dye a mordant fixes. Brits are Brits by culture. We are all subject to that? You can’t say that Americans are free of the magnetism of race hatred.
