Sims 2 Bug?

Hello,

I haven't played the Sims much but, my wife plays in religously every day while I'm at work. She has run into a big bug ever since I installed the patch for the Sims 2 for her. The bug is that every now and then one of her characters will just freeze. They may be sitting watching TV and then they just don't do anything. There needs go downhill quick and they don't respond to anything. The other 3 or 4 sims in the house keep going as if nothing happened????

Any word on this bug, anyone else have this problem?

The only solution my wife found is to sell the home and make the family move at which point the character "unlocks". A crappy solution if you spend time building a great house.

Why must almost every person who plays Sims 2, justify that they own it by saying "well my wife/girlfriend plays it a lot"?
Just admit it. Its a fun game.

and no, I havent had that problem.
 
YES! I hate that damn bug. My guy frequently gets stuck. I usually delete/move everything around him and he moves someday [I'm never in a rush because I paint for a living 😛]

I had this problem pre patch too

LOL... it is fun... I have only played it for a couple of hours on two occassions. I am too addicted to Rome Total War and I have to beat all the FPS I bought when I built my new compute (only HL1 that I've almost finished & HL2 left).

I read the comments about everyone's wives / girlfriends playing so I told my wife.... she doesn't work and we don't have any kids yet... 🙂

That's depressing 🙁 I will let her know that she's not the only one. She kept telling me that this person died and then another (she builds all her friends and gives them nice homes). I kept telling her they die too quick??? Found out that it may be a bug as they aren't dead just stuck!
 
i haven't tried the new patch, but looks like it just created some crappy bugs in it and I'll wait for the next one. I haven't gotten to play R:TW yet, I've been waiting to finish my projects and finals...
