Especially in one of the recent episodes of FG, when Lois confronts her crazy brother in the forest, and when her brother finally lets Peter go, Brian throws a rock and nails Peter in the head. And when Peter asks why, Brian tells him that for closing the windows on the General Lee. I havent laughed that hard since, well, i cant remember when

Probably because Bart's lines haven't changed in about a decade. It's not really anything against Bart, but the Simpons have simply been around too long. They ran out of material a long time ago. Family Guy seems to be getting there, too, but I think they still have a little left.

Now American Dad, on the other hand, must be cancelled ASAP. That is the most annoying/irritating show this side of America's Next Top Model.

I'm tired of the "This is almost as bad as the time..." scenes on FG. We need more of the creepy old guy who likes Chris, the voice for that character cracks me up.

Also, OP, where is the Quagmire vs. Barney poll???

Totally agree. Anymore it's just a lazy way for the writers to do a cutaway. FG is known for the random cutaways, but they need to diversify the randomness.

Peter got old fast. Too one dimensional. Simpsons wins in every category except for Stewie over Maggie. The entire show is carried by Stewie and Brian.

True, but New Homer is worse. he's not one dimensional, he's whatever the writers feel like making him that particular episode.
 
The Simpsons is, on the whole, 100 times the show FG is IMO. The Simpsons has clearly been better in the past than it is now, but it's still the most literate satire on TV, and FG has never, ever had its wit or spark.
