SIMPLEST OC EVER!

Throughout my OCing career, this OC has been the most fool-proof.

1.8A -> 2.0

All I had to do was change the FSB and bump the FSB to 1.525V. Here are my specs:

TH7II-RAID
1GB RDRAM
Radeon 8500

How high do you think I can reach? With what voltage?

Back againg. I forgot to mention that I am using stock cooler/HSF and AS3.

I got it up to 2.08GHz, 115MHz FSB.

Back again! I got it up to 2.16Ghz (120FSB). As you can see I am taking the 5MHz increments approach. Prime 95 hasn't given me an error yet. With all of the help from the computer enthusiasts' group, they should find the next Mersenne prime in no time. 🙂 What tips do you have?

I just got a Prime error. I thought that it was my RAM at such high frequencies, so I lowered the RAM Freq. to 360Mhz, but I still get Prime errors. What's the problem? How can I fix this?

Looks like your going to have to up the voltage more.

My MB's manual says that I can go up to 1.8V, but in the BIOS it's only 1.625V. Does anybody know how to correct this?

There should be a jumper on the motherboard. Look closely =)

x86, you might want to look at the posts on overclockers.com. There is an area for Intel ABIT motherboards in general, and another for the TH7II. I believe there's a "wire trick" that many are using to up the available core voltage. There is also a "hacked" version 77 BIOS that others are using (the pros and cons of which are discussed); there's a download link too.

You'll also see that there's quite a discussion there about DRCG's and BIOS versions (and another one here under Motherboards). I'm interested in knowing which chips and BIOS your board came with (and where you got it from).

I think almost all boards with ics(both the -03 and -13) chips can do 133 fsb with the ram ratio 4:3. (ram at 400) The ram tends get hot when you are running ar high fsb. So check the airflow in your case.
