Simple way to put a password on a folder in XP?

damn.. that's a huge harddrive(s) ya got then...

I don't know of a way unless you grab 3rd party programs or go NTFS..

Well the ntfs encryption isn't what I want since if the computer is turned on and I'm already logged in, people will be able to sit at the machine and open it anyway. All I want is something that will ask for a password regardless whenever that folder is opened. I'll look around for 3rd party apps but this is something that's very basic and should be built into the OS. Hell even the MacOS can do this.

Yeah. There's no way around it. Either you do the NTFS permissions etc or get 3rd Party software like Folder Guard. This is pretty basic stuff, it should've been built into the OS, sad.
