Simple RAID 0 question

I always thought that in a RAID 0 (performance) configuration, the result was a drive that equalled only one being used. In my case, I made a RAID 0 drive out of two 74 GB's. I was expecting one 74 GB to be the result Windows see, but I'm actually getting one drive with a combined value (around 148 GB). Is that what it's supposed to be?

Yes, that is exactly what RAID0 does, ( striping ) data across 2 drives. RAID1 is the configuration you are referring to (mirroring).
