i would go with a single 12 rail instead of multiple ones. checkout the ocz520 or the pcp&c 510sli

no it would not need a 600w psu. a 500w would be more than adaquate. but that psu should be ok, though delta isn't the best brand.

Actually Delta's top line PSUs are excellent. But since you seldom see them in the states any more, it's hard to know which ones are in their top line. They mostly do OEM. They make a monster 465W PSU with 39A on the +12 and Active PFC and full range voltage tolerance for HP workstations.

Oh, I almost forgot - shotgun posting is frowned upon here on the AT forums...

If you do a search you will find many discussions that have to do with dual verses single rail....

The long and short of it is this...
even with dual rail you still have to split the same single going into the PSU into 2 seperates...
thus the term dual rail is well sort of misleading......
but this can get complicated real quick...
IMO basically dual rails came into being as another selling point in order to get you to order a particular PSU...

For a long time PC Power & Cooling as well as several other did not have nor did they see any need to have a dual rail PSU.....
Only since the advent of the PC Power and Cooling 850 as well as 1 KW did they split things up into dual rails.....
The 850 has 3 -- 12v rails and the 1KW also has 3.....

if you do a serch for dual rails vs single rail you will get alot of information...

Zepper so I heard that Delta are solid and larger manufacturers of PSU. Would you saw this PSU would come under their "top of the line" PSUs?

What is shotgun posting? Ok I think I understand. Is it the subject line? or the funny brackets?

shotgun posting: posting on same topic at the same time in two or more sections...

I see that it has autoranging AC input in two ranges so if it also has active PFC then I'd consider it to be a high line model.
