Could someone explain to me how (what I need to get) to connect Nexus 120 mm 4 pin fans to a fan controller? Thanks,

Get a 4 to 3-pin Fan Power Adapter Cable, if your controller uses a 3 pin connector.

Froogle Result

Caution: check to make sure that your fan's max current draw does not exceed your controller's max current supply. This is rarely the case, but it is important to check. You dont to smell something funny right?

Thanks guys, I'd actually seen that article at SPCR, but I was hoping I could just get an adapter instead of building a switch like that...

Since there were no pictures of the Froogle result, I can't be sure, but I believe I need the reverse of that (what you posted would allow a 3 pin fan to connect to a regular power supply connector, right?)...

The Nexus does have a 3 pin cable, but that's only for monitoring the RPM, right? You can't control how much power the fan gets with it hooked up to a fan speed controller, right? Thanks,

Also you can get 3-pin shells and contacts from places like jab-tech.com and svc.com. So you could just cut the 4-pin connector off and put on a 3-pin - cheaper than an adapter and SVC will ship 1st class, uninsured (you have to assume shipping risks) to make shipping cost reasonable. Or you could buy a 3-pin extension cable (usually around $1.) and cut and splice...
