Simple question about pc brand

Hey everyone. Im getting this new PC, here is the link. The specs on it obviously are pretty good.

But will a 420 watt power supply be enough power for such a PC?

Also has anyone else had any experience with IBuyPower brand PC's? Mine was $800 with a free 2 year warranty.

the PSU is not what I;d want to see in a system with those specs. I'd replace the PSU with 550watt professionally speaking, better to have more available than to be skating by.

I think it's fine, I just built a PC for somebody with almost the same specs and it is fine. The CPU is 65W, the video card is crappy and won't use much power either.

BTW the price isn't that great, the one I just built, but with an e6400 instead, I sold for $600 taxes and shipping included, and I profited $100.

Dont listen to Robisbell, that is more than enough of a psu as long as its a good name brand. Stick with Enermax or antec and you will have 0 issues.

Are you buying this pc for gaming or multimedia and business apps?

The video card is NOT great for gaming. Don't let the marketing wizards fool you, a 1GB 8500GT is no faster in games than a 256MB 8500GT.

The 8500GT is extremely slow compared to a 9600GT-8800GT series card.

If you aren't a gamer though, this system is more than adequate. 🙂

IbuyPower is an ok brand. They're very well priced for the specs.
400-500 should be fine fore most single GPU computers.

It's when you start adding SLI, Multiple Hard drives, high power coolers etc when you need more power.
