Simple Network Question

I have a wireless router, I want to use a desktop PC with it. I know I will need a wireless nic in the desktop. What else will I need to do to get it running? I will be using the desktop to share a DSL connection with a laptop thats not going to be hooked up to the wireless router(dead battery on laptop) Can I do this?

The Battery or Not if you are going to use the Laptop it can Wireless as well.

i probably wont go wireless with the laptop. I can run a cable from the laptop to router and go wireless on the desktop. Should I go with USB or pci card? The desktop will be about 80ft from the wireless router. Is that all the hardware I need? (usb or pci card) I already have the wireless router.

Yap, All you need is a USB, or PCI Wireless Card.

80' indoor is "Steep" you might need to "play around" to get such a distance.

Make sure that whatever you get can be returned, or exchanged.
