Hello All,

I have a small network consisting of two XP desktops and one Vista laptop networked together using my wireless router (Linksys WRT54G with DD-WRT firmware). The desktops are wired to the router and the laptop is wireless.

I am using NetBEUI for simple file and print sharing and it works fine for the wired connections, but I cannot access the network (files, printers) on my laptop when using it wirelessly. I can access the internet on the laptop.

Is there some setting I am doing wrong in either the DD-WRT setup or in the Vista laptop's setup that is not allowing me to access files and printers?

Thanks for your help.

NetBEUI per-se does not need any support, it simple and fast, and offer addtion flexibility to wired LAN.

Some Wireless hardware decided that it is not needed, and never checked, or made their hardware/firmware compatible with NetBEUI.

There is some sense to it because Wireless was never planned to be a big LAN tool that is involved in huge file transfer and similar "piggish" applications (kind d like Austin Mini Copper is Not compatible with moving a Tone of sand).

So when it comes to Wireless the use of NetBEUI becomes a matter of Luck.
