Simple memory questions.

Sorry about the repeat post, but the search and faq aren't working at the moment.

1) For a computer on a 66 MHz bus and using 66 MHz memory, should I get 100 MHz memory or 133 MHz memory? Would they work equally well at 66 MHz? They are both a lot cheaper than 66 MHz memory.
2) What is that website that is like Pricewatch, but includes shipping in the prices?

Edit: I'm getting memory upgrades for everyone in my family for the holidays. Too bad I missed the $1 SDRAM a few weeks ago.

It all depends whether ur mobo supported the higher clocked RAM or not. If yes, then u'll be able to put in PC100/133 RAM. The RAM will run at 66 Mhz.

Get PC133... in any case...its backward compatible with 66/100 plus if you decide to 'upgrade' your system to specs that will actually need 133... you don't have to upgrade your ram... altough i don't think going from 66 to 133 is considered enough to be called an upgrade in today's times ...

Get the cheapest stuff you can find. If your family doesn't overclock why get them expensive ram? PC100 is just as good as PC133 when you're only going to run it at 66 mhz. If your famliy doesn't plan to upgrade in the next year than they'll probably get DDR or a store bought setup any how. And if they are planning on upgrading within the year, don't buy them more ram!

You might just want to look at the For Sale/Trade forum to get your upgrade. They are still selling them at less than $0.10 a mb. You can just get the PC100's which last time I checked are selling at less than $15.00 per 128Mb stick. Caution though, check to make sure your system is capable of using high density rams, 128, 256 or even 512 mb sticks. Usually old systems are only capable of using the 64mb density rams.
