Simple math question!

[Futher]

My niece has a math problem that for the life of me I can't figure out. I think I'm looking too deep into it. Meanwhile, it can be the numbers backwards, or the sum of the first two digits, or something stupid.

235 = 30
2,765 = 420
3,808 = 0
589 = ?

i nthe first number, multiply all the digits together

2x3x5 =30

EDIT: last number is

5x8x9 = 40x9 = 360
