Hey all,
Just thought I would break down a couple of simple rules of human dynamics and communication for those who care to read it. It's really just an observation that seems obvious to me. It may very well be obvious to everyone else also, but I thought I'd share anyway.
When there is an issue being discussed, and there are two sides of the issue, and I repeat, the ISSUE is the topic of discussion, the way you go about it is you post your views on the ISSUE. If you do that and there are people who disagree with you, they will simply respond with a rebuttal from the other side of the issue. If, on the other hand, you respond with your views about the issue AND why you think everyone who disagrees with you is a bad person/asshole/moron/etc., then YOU ARE ATTACKING PERSONALLY EVERYONE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT ISSUE. Is this a hard concept to grasp? I know, it's obvious. But some people will come into a thread and lambast people on the other side of the issue and then get angry when those people flame them.
What's with that?
Just remember: If you JUDGE PEOPLE based on their views, without knowing that person's heart, that makes you an asshole. A person's views may not make him a bad person. But a person's view of himself as a superior person because of his views DOES.
