Im really looking for a Docs Management API...
The way it will work, is the front-end will be developed in either HTML or Flash...
- All users will be internet based, so they will be guest to the web server, however to the application they must be known with username and password.
- Have powerful search capabilities built into the solution. i.e search for document filenames, and option to search actual document
text.
- Make it possible to share these documents across with many companies... DOC, PDF, XLS, PPT, ETC.
- Have file verisoning.
- Have security features built in, i.e owner can view documents, or allocate certain, view or write privilages..
- Be powerful
- Be very cost-effective
- Be easy to implement and support
- Uploading docs via HTTP, i.e I want to write the interface for uploading them, not the API.
- No viewing tool needed, as in order to view the docs, they will download them to the local machine.
Basically, its the API I need, not the webby front-end you have developed!
Does anyone know of opensource projects based in C#?? Or some CHEAP API's that are available...
