I can find normal derivatives just fine. However the teacher gives us the previous years test and I find this problem on there:

1/(x-2)

I don't really know what to do. I asked him, but it didn't seem to help much. Never had to deal with fractional problems yet, so what do I do?

some working out is preferred :)

Fractional is same as normal power. f(x) = (x-2)^(-1), f'(x) = -1 * (x-2)' * (x-2)^(-2) = -(x-2)^(-2) = -1/(x-2)^2.
