simple c++ question

What is a symbol in C++?

Can you get a code snippet? That would probably solve it easier.

The only thing I can think of that is relevant to code is the exlamation (!) whcih is 'not'. But that's not exactly an upside down L.

And the number 7 is the joke answer I guess.

You're talking about at the last character after end? As in endl? That's the lowercase letter "L." endl as in endline.

Our teacher is just makign sure we get aquainted with an application of our choice. He hasn't taught us anything but the difference between integer and text operations..and some basica application of logic.


I have to read the book religiously for this one

EDIT: keep in mind that I am trying to read this off of a copy that has this letter l without a base

"1" without the horizontal line.....no way I would have guessed that
 
For some reason I am no logner able to get Borland C++ Personal...it now says it is only available through certain publications😕

They even mailed me serials 😕
