Simple but Aggravating transparency problem-XP

I just did a format/reload of XP Pro on my wife's system. Before this was done, the text box below each icon was transparent with black text. Now it has color and I can't seem to get it back to transparent. I know the standard windows BS to change colors in Desktop Appearances in Display Properties, but don't know how or where to reset things back to transparent again for XP. Any help would be appreciated.

Right-click on My Computer. Select Properties. Click on the Advanced tab. Click on the Performance Settings button. Click on the Visual Effects tab. Select the Custom radio button. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and check "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop". There you go!

Thanks for the reply. In the few minutes since my post another Google search found the same info. The problem was that the item was already selected. However, I unchecked it and clicked apply, then rechecked it and did the Apply/OK and all was well. Thanks again for your help and quick response though. I appreciate you taking the time to help.
