I have no problem with people preferring liquor to beer/wine, or wine to beer, or whatever. I do have a problem with mixing drinks so that they taste less like the liquor.

If you're trying to find something that will get you "totally messed up, dude!" then mix vodka with ANYTHING sugary. If you are drinking for any reason other than to get drunk, then try different beers (stout/porter/india pale ale/kolsch/witbier/oktoberfest/barleywine/the list goes on) or wine, or drink liquor straight, and then move on to mixing your favorite with other things.

And for the record, Bacardi sucks. It tastes like ass, if you mix it with something it still taste like ass, and it is priced as if it didn't taste like ass. Why does anyone buy it, other than people that have never tried an alternative?
