I was snubbed by a female of a certain nationality when she was distributing Christmas cake in my company when I was a newly joined employee there. Every other person in the room got a piece of cake and a smile from her. Even those past me. Then she goes out of the room and sends someone else to give me the cake. I don't care what her reason or justification was. If she had treated me like everyone else, maybe I wouldn't have done what I did to her. Never spoke to her properly till this very day. Everyone in my company knows that I have zero interest in looking at her or talking to her. And everyone wonders what could have happened. This black girl was wronged in the worst possible way. Ignored like she didn't even exist. I know exactly how she felt and it was NOT a good feeling.

I can all but guarantee you that she not only is not hurt by your subsequent freeze out but is very likely thankful because you are an incredibly creepy guy based on your posts on here and almost certainly were being a fucking creep (and apparently possibly also a racist) to her which is why she deliberately sent someone else to give you cake. The fact that you think its the worst thing is so fucking stupid but is a common refrain by creepy fucking weirdo guys towards women (whilst they piss and moan about women not talking to them because they're fucking creepy and weird towards them), the old "well now I'm not even gonna stalk you because you've so hurt my ego I'll just have to find some other women to be a total fucking creep to/at" mentality. The other people are probably more concerned that you've done something like sexually harassed or assaulted her, I'm guessing because you go out of your way to make sure they know you've deliberately decided to be a dick to her and less because they actually give a shit why you are acting like a goddamned child. The video shows her deliberately going off stage to get medals for the last 2 white girls when she ran out. How does she make an effort for the last 2 white girls but no effort for the black girl? The white girls were important enough for her but not the black girl. The hurt on that little girl's face showed it.

Absent some kind of reasonable explanation, racism is the only conclusion.

Here's my theory. The little black girl was invisible to this woman. Her underlying attitude was that little black girl was so insignificant her brain was not going to expel energy to ensure she got her medal. A subconscious thing but still racist. That explains why she was willing to extend effort for the last 2 white girls.

Ok, I finally figured this out. The little black girl had briefly activated her camouflage mode and blended in with her surroundings, causing the official to skip that spot where the little girl was standing and moved on to the next available gymnast.

If you look closely, as the little girl stepped slightly forward in anticipation of being awarded her medal, she inadvertently triggered her chromatophores, which allowed her to blend into her environment for a brief moment. It is believed that her excitement at the time, triggered the chromatophoric response, due to her not being able to control it due to her young age. Most adults have no trouble keeping this response inactive due to a number of known and unknown processes.

So the girl got her medal that day and the parents did receive an apology...but the apology wasn't public.

Also, the family doesn't seem to want this video streaming publicly.

Seems like a done deal for all parties, minus a publicly-performed apology by some random gymnastics organization that either made a mistake, or is filled with secret Nazis trying to destroy society one gymnast at a time.

I'll spend those few neurons being upset about 10,000 other problems leading to the upcoming collapse of society.
