That is awesome!

S&G is one of my all time favorite bands, along with Metallica(lol..).

I wonder if they'll actually release new material?? :Q

Maybe for Art. I'm sure Paul is pretty well off.

They were friends from grade school until the 70s. Is it really that much of a stretch that they could become friends again?

Yeah that's great news. Hopefully they can put aside their differences. I'd love to hear them record a new album. They sang Sound of Silence at the Grammy's this year and Art's voice sounds as crystal clear as ever.

Not to take away from Paul's songwriting, without which there would be no S&G.

I'm going to try to catch one of the San Jose shows.

Too bad they only tour in the US 🙁

Wonder how expensive it would be to fly over there for one of the shows... the tickets to the shows will be expensive as hell to start with probably, enough people want to see them.

"Rubbing hands together".....EXCELLENT Smithers 🙂

I'm going 🙂

Can't wait to hear "Sounds of silence" 😀

Yeah, I announced this in the "Mrs Robinson" thread a couple days ago. Still great new. Paul Simon is the man.

Mrs. Robinson thread

You only asked for a verification of the rumor though, and here it is 🙂
And also an answer to your question whether they will tour again 🙂

Pretty sad state of music today when two grandfathers make more noise than current bands. I remember going to a Zep concert in 93' and tickets were $100 to start. Good luck any newer band getting that. And RIAA wonders why thier sales are so dismal. Make some music with melody and talent and I'll buy it. No Chris Issak does'nt count

Sweet! Even a young'n like me can enjoy their music...and even better, they're starting off in Michigan! But maybe that'll mean that they're not well-practiced enough yet 😛
