Does anyone remember playing this?

I found it online last night (1.1mb download).
I installed DOSBox and started it up in Windows 7.
It works great!

It brings back so many memories...
All those stupid little sounds, and the awesome theme song that repeats forever.

Yes!! I loved that game.

Peaches and/or apples were how I made millions. My favorite thing was racing to expand fast enough to contain the town.

LOL, yeah! You gotta buy up all the land around them so you can have a mega farm.

I always planted Oranges.

Oranges were my cashcrop, might have to set this up and play. Someone needs to make an app on facebook for this and farmtown/ville don't count.

God I wish they would remake SimAnt and SimFarm. I used to play those two games all the time.

I just wish they would make another SimCity. They could do some killer things if they put some real effort into it and designed it for a modern GPU. Last couple of SimCity games were rather lack luster unfortunately.

yeah sim farm was nice. i had the windows one though. i really don't like the DOS versions of these games like oregon trail. the windows one was always more refined... same with civilization 1.

Simant was a bit too easy though, at least if you tease the game engine properly.
I found my Simant floppy recently and fired it up. After a test-run through the game to get used to it again, I was able to beat the full thing easily in under an hour. I'd imagine it could go faster if I'd use the Ultra speed setting, but I liked making rather nice nests., and abusing the AI engine to clear out entire food stashes in one fell swoop.

Best ways to kill a red nest:
- Plant a queen, and let the computer duke it out.
- Kill the red queen yourself, then simply out-breed them.

SimCity2000 - also fun. Nothing like an Arcology city large enough to crash the game repeatedly. 😀

Got to dig out some of these and play them. I've got about 3000+ abandonware games sitting on my HD that I've been slowly categorizing and sorting.

They need to make a new/better SimEarth game. No other sim game came close to it. I guess its only for nerds though. Watching the planets temperature (and 20 other things) and trying to nurture life to form and grow is srs bsnz.

Yes.. but the game was bugged if to many stuffs ended up in the silos it got stuck but could still be sold. 😛

Never could get the crop duster thing in it to work right either... probably should have checked the manual or something. 🙁

Oh and the land area was to small always ended up taking over like everything right up to the town.

Yeah lol.

Robots were the most pro species.

Wait... are the Windows and DOS versions different?
I only found the DOS version online (1.1mb zip file)

Are you playing the Windows version? How big is it?
Are you playing it with Win95 Compatability Mode?

Question: What machinery do you really need. obviously at tractor. Do you need EVERYTHING?
Yeah, you need at least one of everything or else it will lease it for more money.
