SimCity4 Questions

Hi,

Yesterday I installed SC4 for the first time ... it's lags a bit on my PIII600, but it's fun anyway.

I've played for a couple of hours, and have 2 main questions I would like help on:

[1] On the 3-bar RCI demand, I click and it appears a more detailed graph on RCI Demand ... can you explain what the short labels mean? (The R$, R$$, R$$$, Cs$, Co$ ... all of them)? I do think R$=LowRes R$$=MedRes, but the thing gets more detailed in the Industry and comercial, there are some not-so-descritive I think.

[2] When laying a zone (for example a high-res), I did noticed, while dragging, that the zone itself was sub-splited in blocks ... like 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 3x3 ... I do think this will allow higher footprint residential buildings ... but how can I control it? I created 2 blocks of 2x2, then de-zoned and could not repeat the action, it just allowed a 3x3

Those are quite some SC4 n00b questions, but I played for a short time, and I'll play again today ... and if I understand a bit more of those subjects, I can have a more intense play 😀

Thanks

Thanks

[1] Some of the ones for commercial and industrial stand for $$$HighTech Industry which doesnt pollute as much when compared to the other $$$industries. Same thing with the commercial ones. They just mean different types of them. I think the commercial ones can be Co = commercial office, and some other ones. I don't remember them since I haven't touched the game for awhile now. Hover your mouse over some of the buildings you already have, that should help give you an idea of what I mean.

[2] Lay some roads/streets down.

theres a patch that allows you to manually lay down streets

and remember, u need ram, lots of ram. peeps using 1gb for this game🙂
