SimCity 2013 2.0 patch leaves cities swimming in sewage

I guess it doesn't matter, ultimately, since they probably sold enough by now, which is of course the important part.

Exactly, you can't feel sorry for them, Maxis and EA botched a release, (further) brought down the reputation of a franchise and still walked away with a ton of money. I would not be surprised if they stopped support for this game if it doesn't get any better. I'm sure they will leave the servers up, but I could see them walking away from bug fixes, like they eventually did in 4.

Strangely SimCity franchise reminds me of what people were saying in that Symantec thread. Everyone buys their products because of their previous reputation, but these days these products suck.

Reading this I am somewhat scared of BF4 which I intend to buy when it comes out. Sure, it's made by different company, but it's still EA...

I'm so glad I didn't buy this garbage. Even though I'm still curious and want to play the game....I just despise EA with a passion, and that's enough for me to say no. They are the scourge of gaming imo.

"Hey, EA... Dun play-tested Sim City for ya! She's good to go!"

At least when I bought this game I knew that it had always online DRM and the game was a bit broken. I didn't really expect a future where the game got worse not better, but I didn't start with the expectation of it being very good and thankfully I wasn't disappointed.
