A very few of my horde got new WU ...

They are almost done ...

No more as far as I can tell ... maybe I got a "taste" to test the new client and or WU before general release ... I hate being a beta tester ...

Hi,

the 11.000 test WUs are (almost) computed. We'll meet this evening to discuss if we can release the new SIMAP client within the next days. If yes, we'll publish the next WUs after the next client release. This should solve a couple of issues, like the sometimes very large results and the problems under Linux.

So please expect the next project news tomorrow morning.

when i checked this morning, it looked like less than 300 outstanding wu's. so maybe by monday i guess.

btw, i never got any of thos "very large results" 🙁

... I've got the local power plant on the phone just waiting to tell them to throw in a couple more lumps of coal ... that SIMAP is coming up ...

I don't know that I got any of those very large results either ... but I assure you, that is not the primary source of my current achievement in SIMAP ...

"View computers" on my account over at SIMAP (or any other BOINC project) and you may notice that there are at least a handful of computers 😛

... waiting .... whistling .... I can't wait for this project to go "GOLD"

New workunits coming: Best wishes and a happy new year for all participants. The calculation of the 11,000 first workunits is almost finished now; their results are currently imported into the SIMAP database. Thanks a lot for your effort in this first stage of our project and for the many helpful forum-discussions. A major problem were some unexpected large results. Analyzing the 11,000 first workunits and discussing this problem we have decided to modify the workunit generation process in order to estimate the expected result size. Based on this estimation, the workunits will be smaller in cases if many results are expected. Hopefully this solution will solve the problem and huge result will not occur again. The new workunit generator is beeing implemented now, so please expect new workunits until sunday. Thank you for your patience.

I've been checking the SIMAP forums for the last two weeks now and I just want to get some of these darn' WUs in my queue!
