well, last week was another good one for the TeAm. we not only solidified our grip on 3rd place while drawing closer to rechenkraft but we also reached 500,000 points !! :beer:

our overall production was set back a bit with SIMAPs mid week problems but it appears everything has been squared away :thumbsup:

btw, if any of the numbers seem a bit off its because i'm using the freedc stats for today as boincstats seems to be down.

Server problems: Many of you will have noticed already: We are facing some major trouble with our database server, which has more than a few load-problems. This could surface anywhere ranging from the project main page not loading to a delayed or failed scheduling request. We are looking into the problem, but have yet to find a solution to the problem

NOTE: a standard reload click in your browser will fail. A Shift+reload works OK. BUT.. If their servers are hosed, don't go nuts, as that will just prolong their pain.

I still have WU's on all my boxes, having shifted to .3 days since their last outage. Rechenkraft is out of the question, but there is ZERO doubt the TeAm has done one hell of a job crunching SIMAP this month.

yeah, i have a couple days ready as well. i'm not worried, they usually get it up and running quickly.

and you're right, its been a hella month for TAS so far. hopefully we can finish strong. :beer:

Still boppin' along here. Sporatic messages of project down etc. but haven't come close to emptying any queues yet.

So we are now mystery sifting..... it will be fun to see what we can build up before the next stats update from the servers.

Car was a total loss after 17 minutes of baseball sized hail. Flew to the east coast to purchase an extremely similar car ... and bring it home ...

1997 Honda del Sol ... 53K miles ... Emerald Green Pearl !!! to replace the 1994 Honda Civic del Sol ... Pearl Black.

I'll get back to some serious crunching too ... got about 40 nodes offline at the moment ... will work on that!

More than 10.000 hosts and 5.000 users with credits: Its time to celebrate and to say thank you all that make this project running and beeing sucessful. During the last weeks you have calculated the similarities for more than 1 million protein sequences. Due to your effort we are soon up-to-date, which means that the sequence similarities are calculated for all protein sequences in SIMAP. But there are new sequences to come, both from the regular updates and from importing new databases into SIMAP. So the work will not stop. Additionally we are currently preparing a second application for BOINCSIMAP, which will calculate functional attributes of our protein sequences. This will help to expand our knowledge about the protein universe.

Mine have been sifting happily along their way.

I see a "no work from project" message every once in a while in the log, but I also see lots of "downloading..." messages as well.

All pending credit amount indicates is that you have crunched more (pending = rising) or less (pending = falling) WUs than were also crunched by 2 other hosts to make the quorum in the length of time it took to crunch a WU.
