Great Idea! I am on - have increased the resourses of SIMAP from 100 to 300 - kept the other projetcs at 100 ---- 🙂
 
I'm trying to chase down kb3edk after he passed me last night. So, I "acquired" a few more of the embedded boxes at work. They're only PIII's but enough of them and...
 
I bet that IS a chatty bunch!

I think the SIMAP servers must be terribly slow to compound the whole process. It amazes me how long it takes to do my transfers.... but then I'm limited to 3Meg down and 324K up. (are your sarcasim detectors going off? )

No matter to me.... as long as they have somewhere to go..... I'll keep sending them off! 😎

I've never considered upgrading for games, but I'm thinking of upgrading for DC purposes. 🙂 That's funny.

I need to get some more machines... My single machine just isn't cutting it now.
 
You can upgrade for BOTH. My hungriest cruncher is the FX-55 and pulls double-duty quite nicely. 🙂

Meh. My machine doesn't game very well. It suffices, but doesn't do it well. Next upgrade for my machine will be 3DS Max R7, and a Quadro FX 3000... But installing a few machines onto my workbench would be fairly easy.... 😀

Pre-ordered Oblivion from newegg today, and I'm not even a RPG guy. I prefer to blow stuff up 🙂

The pics at Gamespot were just too pretty. Besides, I need something else to justify dual SLI cards. Now if we could crunch on GPU's too, I'd be a happy camper. My wife wouldn't be though. She already has "issues" with the db's from my big box. 😀

 
aww man, that will be sweet with sli 🙂 i never bought a game from the egg before. i'm pre-ordered at gogamer. the egg is a couple $$ cheaper but gogamer is a day earlier 😛

back OT, the TeAm had opne of the best days the project has ever seen, 16,864 points :Q a quick check shows this to be the third best day by any team 🙂

i've had a few of those but nothing like that. same error code as you too. i can't find anything on the forum on it.

although it at least doesn't look like you're wasting any cycles on it. seems like more of a transfer problem before you crunch.

i had about 8 stuck units i had to abort about a week ago though. they had run complete but just wouldn't upload. that problem is suppposed to have been fixed.
 
It's not a big deal, just "odd".

Thr trouble is, some of these boxen wil have to go into testing shortly. As it ia, I'm specifically using BOINC to raise CPU temps to trigger a UI reposnse that says to clean the fan filter.

Is that geky? Sign me up. As an SQA engineer, you use whatever tools you might have, and In prefer free/OSS and mature at that. BOINC fits the bill quite nicely. T

Your typical medica device sosaps% of it'=takinga nap on a prucrion machine.

That being said, I'm fully aware that my boss will someday soon saunter into my office and ask me to tone it down.
