Hey Fred,
sorry for not being in the simap crunching since august with your cpu...

Since I had to get a new wifi modem router, the connection will always drop and never come back again. That's why 10 cores are down since then...

If anyone has an idea how to get my computers to connect even though the signal quality is poor, I would be very very happy. My stats would be great again too!

Have you tried longer antennas?

I'm thinking of ordering a wireless repeater this evening, that will help sending the signal further through the thick walls...

Tom, if you could post all the hardware details (router model, usb wifi clients, etc) we could take a shot at trying to help.

I'm assuming the new router has "n" capabilities. Have you tried turning off all the "n" features on the router and just transmit ("g+b")?

Today's milestones:

2009-11-23 Neurodog 4,000
2009-11-23 Fardringle 400,000

I won't quite make it to 500K by the end of the month, but I should definitely make it there if I let my computers keep running until this batch 5 runs out of work.

Thanks for the stats, Mr. Toody! ;)

The table for the SIMAP stats has completely disappeared! Not in Trash. Not accidentally dragged to another directory. Nowhere to be found.

I don't have the time to recreate it right now, so it will be a week or more before I can rebuild it.

Sorry, guys!

Maybe I'll make the 250K milestone before the WUs run out!
