I could play fine periodically from Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening for a total of about 5 hours. Then this morning servers were down, (except for Europe East 2, which was allegedly up but didn't actually work for me) and I can't get in now either. At the moment the launcher says I'm connected fine, then I open the game and it takes a loooong time to load and then that it can't connect to the servers. I am encouraged to try again. Too bad, I was really enjoying the game too. It's pretty fun, but this server problem seems to be getting worse not better.

The game just launched in EU.


Basically it's very likely that things will get worse (difficult considering how things have been).


That being said.... I just got on one of the NA east servers! Will have to build a new city, but still..

Diablo 3 you could connect.. But you couldn't create characters, invite friends to games, get your gear stolen by someone teaming up with you... And you had 2k ping on top of that.

But hey, you could log in.. Sometimes.

This was all pretty much expected. Happens almost every single time a game uses online always on DRM. And yet, people still buy the game in record numbers and act shocked.

What EA seems to be doing is just brute forcing you off the servers. In WoW you get a 15minute warning... Right now they just kick you off in Simcity. I hope they fix that.

I and 3 of my budies took of work the day it came out. Servers only went down 2 times that day and we got quite a lot of hours in. So yeah I would say it was pretty different.

I kept my game on for 2 hours while I went to go out to eat and still in the game.

Now have well over $1 million dollars.

Actually the small cities are pretty big when you begin to play because a lot of stuff you can add on the top of buildings and on the side of the already placed building.

This game will live to be one of the best in history at the same time the most complained about game.

It downloaded for me in less than 2 hours. I bet people with Google Fiber got it so quick they couldn't even blink.
