Sim City 4 Widescreen

I just picked up sim city 4 to play on my laptop while I am traveling and have been having fun with it so far. The only problem is that the resolution is all messed up in that the game is squished and when I click on on things or move my mouse around, where it shows my mouse is about an inch below where the game recognizes it.

Some help would be awesome, thanks guys.
 
Sorry, can't help ya there. I never did like the you had no other surrounding cities unless you also built them and after a couple hours deleted it and went back to the older versions.
 
SimCity 4 supports custom resolutions. All you need to do is add this to the target of your SimCity4 shortcut:

-CustomResolution:enabled -r1680x1050x32

Just change the resolution you're looking for. Be sure to add the text after the quotation marks of the target. So it should look like:

"C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -CustomResolution:enabled -r1680x1050x32
 
I just reinstalled the game and am addicted again.. DOH!

I just learned how the darned subways worked lol after all these years.. I had no idea the tracks underground could be at a 90' and still work perfectly!
